- Usage Data: We collect usage statistics such as the number of checks performed, timestamps, and response times.

Message Processing & Logging
To provide our service and maintain quality, we process your messages as follows:
- Processing: Messages are sent to third-party AI providers for analysis (see "Third-Party AI Services" below).
- Encryption: Messages are encrypted using AES-256 encryption before being logged or stored temporarily on our servers.
- Temporary Logging: We may temporarily log encrypted message content for debugging purposes, error investigation, and service improvement. These logs are automatically deleted after 30 days.
- No Training: Your messages are never used by us to train AI models. However, third-party AI providers may have their own data policies (see below).
Third-Party AI Services
We use various AI providers to power our tone analysis. The specific provider used may change over time to improve quality and performance. Current and potential providers include:

Data Security
- Transport Encryption: All data transmission between your device and our servers uses TLS 1.3 encryption.
- At-Rest Encryption: Any temporarily stored message data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
- Access Controls: Access to encrypted data is strictly limited to authorized personnel for debugging purposes only.
Other Third-Party Services

Data Retention
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time.
- Encrypted Message Logs: Automatically deleted after 30 days.
- Usage Statistics: Anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for analytics.

Children's Privacy
ToneCheck App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
